【主讲人简介】

Mingsheng Luo, Ph.D.in Chemical Engineering, is a member of the China national 1000P program. He was the Principal Engineer in The national Institute of Clean-and-low-carbon Energy, part of the Shenhua Group. His research interest is in coal conversion and environmental catalyst development, especially in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst and process research and development. He worked for the 7th Design Institute of the original Chemical Industrial Ministry for over nine years before he moved to the U.S. for his graduate study in 1992. He participated and managed numerous engineering design projects throughout China.

After he received his Ph.D. from Auburn University in 1997, he worked for University of Illinois, University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research, and University of Dayton in energy and catalysis areas. He led the effort to found the alternative jet fuels catalysis research laboratory for the Air-force Research lab in 2007. He then moved back to Beijing China to help develop a million ton indirect coal liquefaction process for Shenhua Group. He published over 60 international journal papers and applied over 10 patents in coal conversion and catalysis research areas.

【讲座内容简介】

中国严重的缺油少气多煤的能源结构使得以煤或页岩气为原料的替代能源开发将成为我们不久的未来必走之路。费托技术的研发无论是对我国正在大力发展的煤化工, 还是对未来极具发展潜力的页岩气应用开发都有着重要应用价值。 针对应用于我国资源国情的工业催化剂的基础研究以及相关工艺的关键技术研发都将有助于我国未来在后石油时代的替代液体燃料技术发展。面前国家已经批复的煤制油项目已经超过1000万吨, 包括在审的总规模应该已经超过了2000万吨。 作者将简介一些煤制油过程及催化剂方面的基本概念, 尤其是煤炭间接液化工艺及催化剂研发问题。此外,也会对不同的费托工艺选择, 不同的催化剂选择对产品选择性的影响, 以及未来可能的一些发展趋势做一些探讨。 此外, 水资源问题, 排污处理问题, 碳排放税, 以及未来页岩气的发展都将会对煤制油行业的生存空间产生巨大影响。作者将对面前我国正在大力开发的铁基费托催化剂存在的技术问题, 以及目前工业界面临的难题做一些粗浅探讨。
